We weave it

03
You watch it grow
Your private Rug Passport shows real photos and videos of your rug at every step: the wool, the loom, the washing, the drying.
04
It comes home
Rolled, never folded, shipped free and insured. Most rugs take four to nine weeks, depending on the size.

Questions
How long does a custom Moroccan rug take?
Most rugs take four to nine weeks, depending on the size. A runner takes about four weeks, an 8 × 10 ft rug about seven. The exact time is shown as you design.
Can I choose any size?
Yes. Choose one of our sizes or set your own width and length, in half-foot steps. The price and weaving time update as you change it.
Will my rug look exactly like the preview?
Very close, but not identical, and that is the point. Your weaver draws the design by hand on the loom, so lines and shapes vary a little. No two of our rugs are ever exactly the same. Colors on screens also vary slightly from real wool.
What is the difference between a Beni Mrirt and a Beni Ourain rug?
Both are hand-knotted pile rugs from Morocco's Middle Atlas. Beni Ourain rugs are known for their natural white wool and freehand diamonds. Beni Mrirt rugs, from around the town of M'rirt where we work, are usually denser, with a tighter knot and more freedom in color.
What wool do you use?
Natural sheep's wool from the Middle Atlas, washed and dyed by hand. Wool is naturally soft and durable, and a new pile rug may shed a little at first.
How does shipping work?
Shipping is free and insured, with tracking, once your rug is finished. If your rug arrives damaged or different from your order, contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
